Our Story: The Evolution of SettleCoin

SettleCoin originated as a payment solution envisioned by Internet Mobile Communications Ltd. [JC1] in 2018, catering initially to members of the Bank of Telecoms[JC2] . To ensure the highest levels of security and the delivery of a robust system, Settle Global Solutions Ltd. was established in Malta and subsequently received approval as a licensed Virtual Financial Asset Service Provider from the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Since its inception, SettleCoin has undergone extensive development, transforming into a sophisticated platform that not only meets but surpasses clients’ expectations in areas of transaction, billing, and virtual financial services.

Building upon its success within the telecommunications industry, SettleCoin has expanded its horizons. It is now available to a broader market, providing international businesses worldwide with access to a powerful tool that offers fast, accurate, and cost-effective blockchain-based billing and settlement solutions.

Sean Camilleri is an energetic executive, who is passionate about building great teams and scaling businesses. During a financial services career that spans 20 years, he has held various C-Suite positions in banking, payments and insurance, more recently serving as the CEO at FCM Bank Ltd. Sean is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Clint Bennetti

Dr. Clint Bennetti is a lawyer by profession who holds a Master of Arts in Financial Services. He started his career as an associate with a law firm that specialises in financial services and investment services law. During his tenure within the firm he was admitted to partnership. He later joined a multi-national corporate services group of companies as director where he was responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the group’s entities in Malta. At this group, he was Director Client Services of a Company Services Provider, coordinating and managing its business on a day-to-day basis and from a strategic perspective, and Managing Director and member of the trustee committee of a Retirement Scheme Administrator. Dr. Bennetti has also acted as Managing Director of a group of Maltese companies forming part of a multinational group. The group of companies that Dr. Bennetti managed included a fund and a Company Services Provider. Dr. Bennetti was also the Global Director of Trust and Corporate Services and the Global Director of the Legal Division of this multinational group of companies.

Dr. Bennetti is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and holds a number of professional qualifications including a certificate in Trusts Law and Management and a certificate issued with respect to the Virtual Financial Assets Act by the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners in Malta. Dr. Bennetti is a member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and the Malta Institute of Management and is registered as an Authorised Registered Mandatory with the Inland Revenue Department of Malta.

Evgheni Nedbailo

Evgheni has been involved in building online platforms in various IT projects since 2010. Joining SGS in 2019, he has led the production of the SGS platform, working directly with software developers, engineers, and designers to create the first service proof-of-concept prototype. 

Evgheni is a calm, focused, systematic thinker who combines both technical knowledge to manage IT complexity and people skills to run a group of in-house and outsourced developers. He is able to respond to operational issues and provide technical input in a concise manner. Evgheni looks at IT challenges from different angles, likes overcoming technical bottlenecks, and learning new IT related things.   

Justin Camilleri

Justin Camilleri serves as a key figure within Settle Global Solutions, bringing a wealth of expertise to the team as the Operations Manager. With a background in Banking and Finance, Justin plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of various critical aspects within the organization. His responsibilities span a wide spectrum, including the meticulous management of payments and reconciliations, effective delegation of tasks among team members, and the strategic implementation of AML/CFT procedures to uphold compliance standards. In addition, Justin takes the lead in liaising with regulatory authorities, coordinating local signatories, spearheading procurement initiatives, and optimizing office management. His multifaceted role also extends to acting as the Company Secretary. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, Justin Camilleri is a driving force behind Settle Global Solutions, contributing to the company’s success and operational efficiency.
